$15.7 Million Powerball Win for West Coast MyLotto Player
A lucky MyLotto player from the West Coast has just become Lotto’s 101st Powerball winner and the first for 2013, with a $15.7 million win from tonight’s draw, says NZ Lotteries’ Chief Executive Wayne Pickup.
“Late last year, a player in Invercargill won a massive $20 million Powerball prize making him the 100th Powerball winner since the game began back in 2001 – and now we’re about to meet our 101st Powerball winner,” says Mr Pickup.
This week’s winning Lotto Powerball ticket was sold at NZ Lotteries online channel MyLotto. The prize is made up of $769,230 from Lotto First Division and $15 million from Powerball First Division.
The winning continues tonight, with three other lucky Lotto players from Auckland, Lower Hutt and Nelson winning a $76,923 share of Lotto First Division. The winning tickets were sold at Relay Auckland International Airport, Pak’n’Save Lower Hutt in Lower Hutt and Countdown Nelson in Nelson.
Strike has jackpotted to $300,000 for next week’s draw.
Winning Wheel winner Neil from Tirau won $250,000 on the live draw.
Tonight’s Winning Wheel ticket was bought at Parklands Lotto and 123 House in Auckland. The serial number is 707-29987117-20XX.
All Lotto players are automatically in the draw to win the opportunity to spin Lotto’s Winning Wheel, regardless of the type of ticket they buy.
Anyone who bought a ticket from any of the above winning stores should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any Lotto outlet.
“Every week Lotto players give back to their community through their game play, with millions of grants allocated each year via the Lottery Grants Board. For example, lottery grants are helping keep our beaches safe this summer, with considerable funding going to the NZ Coastguard and Surf Life Saving,” said Mr Pickup.
