$5.5 million win for Whangarei Powerball player
A Powerball player from Whangarei has millions of reasons to celebrate after winning $5.5 million with Powerball First Division in tonight’s live Lotto draw.
The winning ticket was sold at Sunnyside Foodmarket in Whangarei and is made up of $5 million from Powerball First Division and $500,000 from Lotto First Division.
This win comes just a week after a young couple from the Hibiscus Coast in Auckland won $44 million with Powerball First Division on Wednesday – the largest prize ever won in New Zealand.
Another Lotto player from Papamoa also won $500,000 tonight. The winning Lotto ticket was sold at Pak N Save Papamoa.
Meanwhile, Strike Four rolled over tonight and will be $200,000 on Saturday.
