Wellsford Powerball player wins $5.3 million
Powerball’s winning streak continues tonight, with a lucky player from Wellsford scooping a $5 million Christmas bonus with tonight’s live Lotto draw.
The winning ticket was sold at Woodys Winners in Wellsford and is made up of $5 million from Powerball First Division and $333,333 from Lotto First Division.
This is the third Powerball win in two weeks, following on from last Wednesday’s draw where a Wellington man won $5 million and the previous Saturday’s draw where a young woman from Auckland won $10 million.
Two other Lotto players also won $333,333 each tonight. The winning Lotto tickets were sold at Pak n Save Pukekohe in Pukekohe and on MyLotto to a player from Auckland.
Strike Four rolled over tonight and will be worth $400,000 on Saturday.
Playing Lotto is now even more convenient, with Lotto NZ launching a brand new App that gives players the ability to buy and check their favourite tickets on the go. The App allows players to login to their MyLotto account, purchase Lotto, Powerball and Strike tickets, check paper tickets and Lotto draw results, and watch a virtual draw for Lotto tickets bought through MyLotto.
The Lotto NZ App is now available for both Apple and Android devices. More information about how to download the App is available online at MyLotto: https://mylotto.co.nz/app-download/
Anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above winning stores should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any Lotto outlet, online at MyLotto.co.nz or through the Lotto NZ ticket-checker app.
Players can phone Lotto on 0800 695 6886 if they want to enquire about the best way to claim a prize.
